   Yevgenia Buravleva was born in Kirov (Russia) in 1980. She graduated from the Rylov Art School of Vyatka in 2000 and a year later from Vyatka State Humanities University, majoring in culture studies. In 2008 she graduated from Moscow's Surikov Institute and in 2007 had a study placement at the Berlin University of the Arts. A member of the Moscow branch of the Artists Union, Buravleva has been exhibiting actively since 2000. Among the major exhibitions, to which she contributed her works, are the Festival of Young Russian Culture in Italy (2006), the ‘Contemporary Russian Painting’ exhibition and Newcastle Gateshead Art Fair in Great Britain (2010).

   Buravleva’s works are in private collections inside and outside Russia, in the Russian Culture Fund collection and in Russian regional art museums. Since 2006 Buravleva has been cooperating with the Kovcheg Gallery of Moscow, contributing to many of its projects; in the summer of 2009 her works were shown at the exhibition of Kovcheg Gallery artists in Kuopio (Finland). In the autumn of 2009, together with works by other Kovcheg artists, paintings by Buravleva were at the exhibition ‘Personal Acquaintance’ (within the Parallel Programme of the 3rd Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art). In 2010 Buravleva’s works were among the Kovcheg Gallery exhibits at artbygenève, Selection Artfair Basel (Geneva and Basel, Switzerland) and Art.Fair 21 (Cologne, Germany). In the autumn of 2011 her works formed part of the Kovcheg Gallery exposition ‘Between Object and Imagination’, staged within the Parallel Programme of the 4th Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art, and were also shown by the gallery at Art.Fair (Cologne, Germany).
